In a recent post, a contributor described having to wait 8 weeks for a gout consultation.
I was horrified to see this, particularly as the interim advice was not good.
Now I hate to see doctors – they seem committed to turn you into patients – but I expect to see my doctor within a day.
I realize that, being in the UK, our socially-funded medical system is different from other countries. However, 8 weeks seems truly excessive to me.
What are you views and experiences of getting gout treatment when you need it?
